Founded in 1957, and producing for the first time in 1960, our winery currently has about 500 employees. The social area is located in the neighbourhood of Carvoeira, S. Domingos de Carmões, Dois Portos, Runa, Maxial, Matacães, in the Municipality of Torres Vedras, and Aldeia Galega, in the Municipality of Alenquer; a total area of 1,200 ha of vineyards. We produce DOC Wines from Alenquer and Torres Vedras, Lisbon Regional Wines (Estremadura), and Table Wines. Our winery counts with state-of-the-art manufacturing, stabilization, bottling, and shipping technology. The average annual production is 6 million litres, of which more than 60% is directly sold to consumers, and the remainder, to national and international distributors.

Syrah and Castelão
Garnet colored wine, with red fruits aromas and vanilla notes, which give it a velvety flavor with well integrated wood, making it persistent. Recommended to accompany codfish dishes, meat and some cheeses. Serve at temperature of 16°-18°C.

A garnet-coloured wine, with an intense, spicy vanilla aroma, which makes this wine extremely unique. A perfect blend between wood and grapes that brings its flavour to an intrinsic, complex final structure, with round and persistent tannins. It is recommended to pair with traditional Portuguese dishes, particularly oven dishes. Better enjoyed at a temperature between 16ºC and 18ºC.

Adega de Carvoeira will be present at SIBSAB 2018, which will take place in February, in Lisbon. The participation intends to continue the strategy of internationalization of our wines. The SISAB - International Food and Beverage Sector Exhibition is considered the largest annual fair of companies in the agri-food and beverage sector in Portugal, with about 500 exhibitors and 1600 international buyers, from 110 countries present in the last edition.
In 2017, Adega de Carvoeira carried out the image update in 7 of our wines. With the aim of modernizing and making the wines more appealing, we changed the labels of the Velhos Tempos Red Reserve, the 4 wines of the Mirante range and the Raposa wine (red and white). In order to meet the expectations of our customers, we seek constant innovation, without ever losing focus on the quality of our products.
The wine Velhos Tempos Red Reserve was the winner of the Torres Vedras Wine Festival, in the category of red wines. From the 9 wines in competition, this wine was the red chosen in blind tasting, becoming part of the institutional offers of the Municipality of Torres Vedras in 2018. The Torres Vedras Town Festival include the Pastel de Feijão Festival and the Torres Vedras Wine Festival.
In 2017 was launched the wine Velhos Tempos Touriga Nacional / Cabernet Sauvignon, which as a name indicates is made up of the best-selling national grape variety, in conjunction with the world's best-selling international grape variety. Proof of its quality, despite the recent launch in the market, this wine was already distinguished with the gold medal of the Wine Contest of Lisbon 2017.
Adega de Carvoeira currently owns 4 stores opened to the public. In order to modernize and make the experience of those who visit our shops more comfortable, we proceeded with a deep remodelling of the Avenida de Madrid store (Lisbon) and the Adega store (Curvel). With a new look and a modern space, you can now make your shopping more comfortable.
Lisbon Wines contest, promoted by the Confraternity of the 2016 Oenophiles of Extremadura and the Wine region of Lisbon Committee, awarded with silver medal wine Rosé Lookout Take 2015. Another distinction for this wine, accompanying very well light dishes or served as an appetizer.
The wine old times-Recently was winner of the Arinto 2015 blind tasting white wines held as part of Celebrations of the city of Torres Vedras 2016. Having already been seller of this prize in 2014, this wine was again distinguished. For this reason, it will become in the institutional offer of the municipality of Torres Vedras in 2017.
Adega da Carvoeira will take place at São Pedro´s Fair which will occur from 23 of june to 3 of july in Torres Vedras.
